Retrigger Mechanics
The same scatter trigger that activates free spins in the base game also works during free spins themselves. Land 3+ Book symbols anywhere on the reels during your active free spins, and 10 additional spins are added to whatever count remains. The expanding symbol does not change on retrigger — the same symbol chosen at the start continues throughout all retriggers.
Retrigger Probability
The scatter trigger probability during free spins is the same as in the base game — roughly once every 100–150 spins on average. With only 10 spins per bonus round, a retrigger in any single bonus is a low-probability event. Community data suggests retriggers occur in approximately 1 in 10–15 free spin rounds.
Why Retriggered Spins Are Valuable
When a premium symbol is expanding (Rich Wilde, Pharaoh), additional spins directly extend the period during which that symbol can cover reels and pay maximum. A 10-spin retrigger on Rich Wilde expanding is effectively 10 more spins at maximum theoretical value. Multiple retriggered Rich Wilde rounds are responsible for some of the largest documented Book of Dead wins in the community.
No Cap on Retriggers
Theoretically, retriggering can continue indefinitely — there is no maximum number of retriggers per session. In practice, more than 2–3 consecutive retriggered rounds in a single bonus is very rare. Extended retrigger chains (5+) are the casino equivalent of a lottery win — mathematically possible, statistically extraordinary, but documented in player communities.
